On August 3, the Trump regime withdrew its attempts to impose stricter regulations on foreign students in the US on F, J or M Visas.  USCIS sought to impose harsher enforcement of accrual of unlawful presence in the United States for students who wished to switch schools or who missed classes due to illness or other emergencies, making it easier to cancel their student Visas and /or initiate Removal Proceedings.  In February, 2020, the US District Court in the Middle District of North Carolina issued a nationwide injunction against this plan.  This injunction is now permanent.
