Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness Program
Enacted in December, 2019, The Liberian Refugee Immigration Fairness (LRIF) Program allows eligible Liberian Nationals and certain family members a one year window (Until December 20, 2020) to apply for adjustment of status to Permanent Resident (green card). In order to qualify the Applicant must be: A Liberian National; Living in the United States since November 20, 2014; and, otherwise eligible for permanent residency in the US. You must have proof that you entered the US prior to November 20, 2014. Unlawful entry is accepted. You must have proof of Liberian Nationality (either an unexpired Liberian passport or birth certificate issued by the proper civil authorities). You must provide documentary evidence of continuous residence in the United States since November 20, 2014 (tax records, school records, medical records, mail, etc.).
Applicants who qualify can also apply for their spouse and unmarried children under the age of 21. Their qualifying relatives need not be Liberian nationals and need not show continuous presence since November 20, 2014. They must simply prove that the qualifying relationship exists.
